Small businesses that operate special mobile equipment may be impacted as a result of this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
Under current law, special mobile equipment cannot be operated on state maintained highways on Saturdays, Sundays, or legal holidays, except in emergencies. This proposal defines "emergency" to include the call for services of special mobile equipment to perform services that relate to the owner's normal course of business but is required to be performed on Saturdays, Sundays, or legal holidays.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
