ASSUMPTION
Officials of the Office of State Court Administrator assume this proposal does not increase cost or fees and would have no fiscal impact to the Courts. Officials assume this proposal would allow existing monies to be used for additional purposes and would not expect any local fiscal impact.
The County Commissions of Ripley, Butler, Washington, St. Francois, Madison, Franklin, and Howell, counties did not respond. Timing did not permit these counties to respond.

DESCRIPTION
This bill allows moneys collected as court costs for the purpose of maintaining a law library to be used for courtroom renovation and technology enhancement in Butler, Ripley, Scott, Mississippi,
Washington, Madison, Howell, St. Francois, and Franklin counties. This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not
require additional capital improvements or rental space.
