ASSUMPTION
Officials from the Department of Natural Resources assume no direct fiscal impact as a result of this proposal.
Future budgets would require line item appropriation authority to reimburse the organizations with whom the department has a cooperative agreememt.

No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
The act expands the ability currently available to the Department of Natural Resources to enter into cooperative agreements with particular organizations. The act allows for cooperation in order to provide enhancements to the department's facilities provided that the organization reimburse the department for any space and staff support provided and that any such agreement includes documentation submitted to the department that demonstrates the benefits of cooperation.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
