FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business


No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.


FISCAL DESCRIPTION


Currently, the St. Charles County Convention and Sports Facilities Authority has the authority to impose a tax on the charges for all sleeping rooms paid by transient guests within the county. This act provides a formula to calculate the amount of charges for sleeping rooms paid by transient guests to determine the room tax.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
