Officials of the Kansas City Board of Elections Commission assume no fiscal impact. Officials stated that independent candidates do not file with their board of elections.

Officials of the Clay County Board of Elections Commission stated that ballots are the largest expenditure in each election. Reducing the amount of ballots to be printed would lower the cost of elections for each entity. Officials did not estimate the amount of savings.
