FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials of the Office of the Attorney General expect no fiscal impact to their office.

Officials of the Office of State Courts Administrator assume no fiscal impact on the Courts.

Officials of the Department of Public Safety - State Highway Patrol assume no fiscal impact.

Officials of the City of Springfield Police Department assume no fiscal impact.

Officials of the Boone County Sheriff’s Department assume no fiscal impact.

Oversight assumes this proposal as written is permissive and would have no fiscal impact without action by the governing body.

Oversight assumes this proposal does not require local governments to perform new duties or to expend additional revenues and would have no fiscal impact.

Oversight assumes if a local government would elect to initiate the provisions of this proposal and install a system of automated photo red light traffic controls at various intersections, the city would have costs of either purchasing or leasing a turnkey system of automated photo red light traffic controls, installing the system, administering the system, maintaining the system, mailing out violation notices, and ticket administration. The City could expect additional revenues from fines.

For purposes of this fiscal note Oversight assumes no fiscal impact to state or local government.
