FISCAL ANALYSIS
ASSUMPTION
Officials from the Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration (DIFP) state the legislation modifies the provisions to license a massage therapist. It would allow a person who has completed a massage therapy program comprised of less than 500 hours of supervised instruction to apply for licensure and allows the board to establish requirements for the applicant to complete the requirements for licensure.
The DIFP assumes the proposal would have no fiscal impact on their organization.
