FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Oversight sent a response request to the Clay County Clerk and have not received a response.

Oversight assumes any fiscal impact to Clay County from this proposal is beyond the scope of this fiscal note.

Oversight assumes if a salary increase were granted to Clay County Commissioners in FY 2009 the salary increase would not go into effect until after two elections or 8 years later in calendar year 2017. The county would realize cost savings each year the salary increase would have been in effect after they were granted in 2009. If salaries were decreased in 2009 the decrease would not take effect until after two elections or 8 years. The county would not be able to reduce the salary and would experience a loss of savings.

Oversight assumes no state fiscal impact.
