FISCAL ANALYSIS
ASSUMPTION
Officials from the Office of Administration, Division of Budget and Planning, and the Department of Revenue assume this proposal would have no fiscal impact on their organizations.
Officials from the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) assume this proposal would have no fiscal impact on their organization. DNR officials stated that the proposal would eliminate the department's technical review step in the approval process of sales tax exemptions.
The sales tax exemption would remain in place.
Oversight assumes there could be a minimal savings to the Department of Natural Resources and the Department of Revenue from eliminating the certification requirement. Oversight will not include that savings in this fiscal note.
