FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials of the Department of Natural Resources assume no fiscal impact.

Oversight sent response request to numerous fourth class cities and none have responded.

Oversight assumes this proposal is permissive and adds to the list of powers granted to fourth class cities. This proposal empowers the Board of Aldermen to regulate quarries within two miles of the city limits which would be dangerous or detrimental to the public health.

Oversight assumes this proposal as written does not mandate the regulation of quarries by fourth class cities, and would have no fiscal impact to local government. The act of regulation would be discretionary.
