632.405. It shall be the duty of the prosecuting attorney of the county wherein a hearing described under this chapter takes place to represent the petitioner and to file and prosecute in court all petitions for detention, evaluation and treatment pursuant to this chapter. Such duty shall be fulfilled by the county counselor in counties having a county counselor and by the circuit attorney in any city not within a county.
